CONCLUSIONS
The Velkase design is truly special with minimal visible external screws, honeycomb vents for high airflow, and a smooth aluminium/steel finish. Its compact size and thick panels cause the case to act like big heatsink. Building in the Velka 7 more time consuming than most SFF case but very satisfying.
Using the back M.2 slot on your motherboard is not recommend depending on its location, as it may sit flush against the GPU backplate and riser cable. Thus may cause the M.2 drive to overheat or thermal throttle. We recommend using an M.2 extension module or external M.2 enclosure instead.
There was some minor issues with our Velka 7 case. There was no space between the motherboard tray and SFX power supply as mentioned in the instructions manual. This means the motherboard tray and power supply grinded against one another while being installed. The included riser cable is slightly shorter than it should be in our opinion, due to the way it bends in order to be mounted / installed.
